Am I the only one who really feels like Pokemon is super detached from the rest of Nintendo's franchises to the point where it doesn't even feel much like a Nintendo thing anymore?

>Sakurai doesn't have free reign to include whatever Pokemon he wants in Smash, he has to choose from a very small list or forced to include certain ones from The Pokemon Company (i.e Lucario).
>Pokemon amiibo don't work with Yoshi's Wooly World or Mario Kart 8, even when the third party characters work in both games.
>Series is an annualized like CoD, AssCreed or Madden, when no other Nintendo series does that.
>Pokemon is never referenced in other Nintendo games or vice versa. You'll never see a Mario or Zelda reference in a new Pokemon game, nor will you see something like Pikachu as Mario Kart DLC.
>Games lack the sense of polish or love that other Nintendo games do, a lot about the last few Pokemon titles just made them feel like soulless cash grabs. The yearly CoD games feel more like efforts to entertain than the last few Pokemon games.
>Pokemon has free-to-play eShop shovelwere, unlike other Nintendo mainstays.
>Next to no Pokemon related stuff on Nintendo's social media and marketing, everything is under a dedicated "Pokemon" page not run by Nintendo themselves instead of sharing one alongside the likes of Mario, Kirby and even games like Xenoblade or Bayonetta [2].
>Game Freak didn't even consider putting their upcoming title on WiiU instead just went with PS4/X1/Steam even though it would probably sell better on WiiU.

If it weren't for the fact I play as Jigglypuff a lot in Smash Bros, I would have probably forgotten Pokemon was a Nintendo franchise and not its completely own thing that just happens to always be on Nintendo portables. And even then I feel Jigglypuff is more of a Nintendo character than Pikachu because she's known for being in Smash, and not the face of a franchise that doesn't want anything to do with the rest of Nintendo.
