Well, look at it this way: if you were making ORAS, would you want some kid updating XY so they have everything ORAS does as far as new megas and moves go? Or so you want them to buy the new game?

People on /vp/ somtimes forget that Gamefreak and Nintendo sell games to, you know, make money. They're not just doing it because they love their fans.

GameFreak can't patch to save their life. To patch all the megas and new moves in, they would have to replace ALL of the model and Pokemon garcs. It would be a 1.2-4 gig update.
