Lucario is an absolute piece of fucking horrible shit. He is forced garbage and I can't believe anyone actually likes him. My first complaint is how stupid his legs look. Why are his thighs inflated? Are these fur shorts? Why are they so retardedly puffy? And what is with the stupid huge bandana tails on the back of his mask? They look so fucking stupid. I know a lot of people compare them to dread locks, and I used to too, but they're not even that, they're just bottom heavy turds on the back of his head. The spikes on his hands and on his chest are unnecessarily edgy and stupid; they have no place, other than to possibly justify the most wrongfully assigned typing of Steel. How the fuck is this Steel? With all of Lucario's aura shit and its design, it should be Fighting/Psychic, Fighting/Dark, or Dark/Psychic. What a fucking abortion of a Pokemon.

Except we didn't know it was non legendary yet, since it was a Gen 4 Pokemon introduced in a movie in the middle of Gen 3. For all we knew then it could have just been another Lugia or Lati@s situation.

The dreads are part of its mask. Now they at least drape and float because it's mystical and shit.

Its spikes are forward facing so they're actually practical in a fight.

The red vastly improves the color scheme. It balances it out giving much needed balance and highlights, and evokes egyptian boxing which is half the concept.

Also to answer OP, I started having a bias against Lucario when he was revealed for Smash 4. He was good for that Gen 4 represent in Brawl, but now we're in Gen 6. He's old news, but given how much he's pushed for a non-legendary you'd swear he was Pokemon's secondary mascot.
