"Upon Mega-Evolving, the crystals on Gigalith's body experience a massive amount of growth, causing it to become heavier and slowing its movements to a complete crawl. However, by absorbing light through the far larger crystals, it produces a tremendous amount of energy in its body and transforms its physical power into a truly vast amount of special power.
Whilst it loses a sliver of Speed and over half of its Attack, Mega Gigalith's Special Attack experiences unparalleled growth in return, as well as large boosts to both Defense and Special Defense. Additionally, by releasing the sunlight it absorbs through the crystals on its body, Mega Gigalith gains the fabled Drought ability, weakening attacks from enemy Water-types and scaring them away with powerful Solarbeams."
