My biggest problem with Gen 6's Gym Leader music (and the E4 music even moreso) is that it takes way to long to get going, and when it does get going the hype part lasts for like 10 seconds. It's good music, but bad battle music.

Cut the buildup in half, lengthen the faster parts, and make it so the opponents aren't pushovers, then the gym/E4 battles would be more exciting.

I've had this pet idea for a while now about having the battle theme change very slightly depending on what type of pokemon you were fighting. The main theme would stay the same but additional instruments would join in depending on what type of pokemon are in the battle, so some kind of wind instrument for flying, an electric guitar for Electric/Steel, maybe a theremin for Psychic, etc.
