First of all, if a game is going to have glitches or any other technical difficulties, then they developer should do their best to get rid of them, which is something that Game Freak obviously didn't do. Most other big video game franchise would at least make an effort to remove any technical difficulties they see. Also let's not forget to mention how ORAS didn't attempt to make any improvements at all to the engine. None, nada, zero, zip. There's no reason for a game series as big as Pokemon to not be optimized in the lightest.
Now let's move on to the graphics. You'd seriously have to be blind to think that XY or ORAS look anything above mediocre. The games hardly looks better than what you'd get out of a DS title. Shit, if weren't for the jaggies and poor resolution the DS had, I'd say Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 1 and 2 look miles better than what we got out of Gen 6. Which is pretty fucking sad considering those are part of the "monster collecting/battling genre" that Pokemon popularized so much. Anybody can see how poor Gen 6 is graphically compared to other games on the 3DS.
Then there's the story and characters of XY. All I have to say to them is what the fuck. Literally, they throw at you new, seemingly interesting "friends" at the beginning of XY and they hardly do shit which makes you wonder why they were even included. Then there's the plot, which just seems to be there and not sometimes, and I honestly don't know if any other the other Pokemon games have a more poorly executed story. I mean, the story would've been great and all had they just carried it out better and spent more time on it, which they obviously didn't. Also let's take a moment to acknowledge how memorable the gym leader characters were.
The plot of ORAS was better that RS's to say the very least. And I do like how they actually tried to make the characters seem important this time around.
