I honestly think a lot of the OS episodes are great kid's show episodes.
"Beauty and the Beach" for example has a nice character moment where Delia asks Ash if he was causing trouble for anyone, and the old boat owner covered for him saying how good of a kid he was. I don't know if that one is on netflix since it was banned from some places for that part where James uses inflated boobs.
Then you had that Tentacruel episode which was about respecting the environment and all that crap. It was kinda heavy handed but to be honest with kid's shows you have to be a bit more obvious about it. I still give them credit for the message.
Then you have those muh feels episode like where Ash releases Butterfree or he tries to leave Pikachu behind.
The ones I usually hear about from ADV is the Raltz episode involving Max.
DP had some cool story arc type things but to be honest I can't think of a lot of the episodic stuff that were good "kid's show episodes".
