Moves like Knock Off and abilities like Magician can now remove Mega Stones.

how does it matter? mega evolution has priority so all you gotta watch out for is not to directly switch into knock off, which should be fairly managable

Should at most knock off Mega Stones before evolving, i.e. on the switch or when purposefully delayed (e.g. on Lightningrod Manectric in doubles)

What should really happen though is Embargo and Magic Room preventing mega evolution while active.
