If they wanted to revisit Hoenn I would have preferred a sequel with an entirely new story and characters that happens to take place in the region instead of a rehash that's worse than a game I've already played 10 years ago.

I liked ORAS, not my favorite games but still

My only problem was that they just copy&pasted the maison, they didn't even bothered to add the other facilities' rule-sets to it

Also Delta episode could've been better by just adding a new area to explore or simply upgrading the Sky pillar to add a bit of exploration instead of just stairs(or holes like the original)

Why would Ruby and Sapphire have Emerald content?

If anything it has tutors and Battle Maison so its a straight upgrade to the originals. It may not be amazing, but it's better.
