For those of you born in 1997 who are American, and didn't have the benefit of getting 90s stuff via living in a third-world country or being poorfags, how does it feel that you were never able to play/talk about SNES, Genesis, PS1, N64, and Pokemon G1-3 games with friends growing up?

How does it feel that you never got to play Pokemon right when it first came out? How does it feel that you when first started playing the series, it was nowhere nearly as popular and nobody fucking cared about it? In fact, on that topic, if you were born in 1997, how could you even enjoy your childhood? What good things could you have even grown up? Cereal Straws? Yogos? Charlie the Unicorn? Justin Bieber? COD? George W. Bush? PS3? Xbox 360? Dora the Explorer?
