Why the hell can't Alakazam or Porygons talk? And Zoroark can canonically talk but not one you own which is sad
Saying their names and some that you wish sounded like their in-game cried but don't isn't so fun

I guess I feel like having pokemon be as smart as or smarter than their trainers makes the trainer pretty superfluous. I always saw the pokemon/trainer dynamic as a brawns/brains scenario.
