Do you think a gen 4 remake will be a thing? multiple people have been requesting a R/B/Y remake. The main reason we got ORAS was because of the community uproar. Do you think the same could happen with a R/B/Y remake? (Though I'm personally anti-remake remakes)

Gen 3 happened because you couldn't play it on current hardware, there was demand for it, and Nintendo wanted easy money. Hit those conditions again and DP will probably get their remake, but I don't see it happening for years. I don't see RBY getting a remake at all, especially after all the pandering in Kalos. Japanese players don't seem nearly as obsessed with going back to Kanto as places like here are. either.

I really wish Transporter was compatible with Gen IV, it would save so much time.

By the way, is it possible to get ExtremeSpeed Zigzagoon yet from anything other than Pokémon Box? That's one of the select few things I can think of that you would need a Gen III game for.

Seriously if they revisit sinnoh, i want a new story as it applies to a new character. The only remake of sinnoh id want to play is platinum, but god knows they'll just copy paste the bland ass dp plot while shoe horning mega evolution in. And for fucks sake, can we wait till at least gen 7 to remake such a potentially beautiful region? Surely they're holding out on us what they've improved on their 3D. ORAS happened because of money. I don't know why it's so hard for people in this fanbase to understand, but remakes are pretty much free cash. Anybody who thought it was purely an issue of Pokemon availability was full of shit.

Also if there wasn't a fan demand for it it wouldn't have been made because it wouldn't bring in as much money.

It's been almost twice as long since FR/LG than it had been between R/B and FR/LG.

They still make stupid amounts of money. Remakes & Third versions are basically boosters alongside the first release of the generation. Financially, there's no reason NOT to develop remakes of Gen 4. The fanbase is already condition to expect a remake of titles from two or three gens ago at this point.

There was no doubt a huge fan outcry for ORAS, but let's not pretend that HOENN CONFIRMED memes were only reason why GF decided to remake RS.

I'd consider the presence of the special/physical split reason enough not to bother. Sure it would be great for it to contain 720plus Pokemon, but it's sort of pointless.

Sinnoh looked fine, nothing gamefreak's version of 3D will majorly improve on to warrant seeing Sinnoh in full 3D.

People thought that an RS remake was coming for gen 5 because patterns and such.
All of the speculation happened raising peoples hopes and expectations especially among "hoennfags".
Then Black and White 2 was announced breaking the "evidence" and the "HOENN CONFIRMED" memes happened until the announcement of ORAS.
