As the Channeler begins trying to coax Eugene's soul out of the Ring, shadows begin to seep out of the black gem. They drip down as black liquid, soaking into the ground below.

The darkness begins to creep into the grass and trees nearby, three of which begin creaking and cracking. The bark each of in their faces opens up into a pair of black voids and read glow lights up inside.

Reaching out, one of them attempts to grab the Channeler and disrupt her attempts. Another recognizes Siegfried as a threat and rakes a claw towards him. The last of the three ignites a few of its leaves on fire and flings them at Luci.

>Trevenant1 uses Astonish on Channeler, 2, 5, and 8 misses, 0 and 4 flinches

Another tree begins moving and comes up behind Min and sweeps an arm through the air, sending a huge blast of wind at her from behind.

Something clicked in her mind from something Beau had said earlier.

She felt like just slipping out of his office, out of the labs, to somewhere, but the last time she had done that she had woken up in the infirmary. Just who was Ariana to Archer? Strange as it may be, it was a question that the azure-haired executive had never asked himself. What does one do when their only lead is an 'R'? Well, they first take the obvious steps. What does this 'R' mean? The only problem was they had all up and disappeared within hours of Kanto's League coming in to finally oust them. Every asset she knew of was a world away, and she didn't much fancy chasing after shadows. After all, if they had left, they likely went well away if so many of their known locations had been emptied. So that knocked out the Kanjoh regions. What of Sinnoh? She had heard a lot of old storied of issues with Sinnoh, something about a Varnock and Seven, not to mention the place had been nearly entirely destroyed by this Varnock on two separate occasions. Hoenn was in much the same state, and neither would likely receive Rocket even in secret. Orre would kick them out in a heartbeat after some moron named Kenpachi had taken over, apparently Fiore was entirely lost to Cipher, and no one even knew what was going on otherwise in the ranger regions. This left Kalos and Unova. Kalos was a good bet, what with it being a new place to make their name, but Unova was just as perfect for it, especially Castelia.

Not to mention she had already been in Unova anyways, so she might as well look here first. That was what had brought her to Castelia, the place she was certain to find SOMETHING...

Specifics were abound, with many rumors existing of several people. Anthony, Bakura, Kenpachi, Talon, and Varnock were the names spoken most often, but most everyone involved in Team Rocket had had their names whispered and stories told at some point of another. Vampiric smile glistening under the light of streetlamps, she moved into the alley towards the source of energy that had been pointed out to her.

She kept walking until her target came into sight, pointed out by Gallade tapping her discreetly. So this was the source... She kept walking, then faked a stumble, and dropped her bag. A few objects went spilling out that she moved to collect, feigning annoyance as if she hadn't done it all on purpose.

Meanwhile her Gallade had fixed the person leaning against a wall with a fierce stare as if trying to tell them to help.

Of course this was all spurred on by a container of lipstick being covertly rolled under Bakura, just in case he remained against that wall instead of acting to help. His reaction would greatly determine how this conversation went, after all.

He was probably long overdue for a vacation, or at least the chance to get out of the office and stretch. The mission to Holon, creeping closer every day, would be the perfect chance to relax, yet not lose valuable work hours.

The underground base consists of four identically-shaped floors, with each floor using the large center space in a different manner.

B1 uses the space for barracks, the infirmary, and is the primary location for executive offices. B1 is the place where most of the shit we think of as "Rocket stuff" actually happens, as it's here where most team member utilities are located.

If there's a level you don't want to be on, it's B2- It's hot as hell, and the walls are lined with pipes and wires bringing Arceus-knows-what to Arceus-knows-where. Do not, I repeat, do not, get yourself stuck on B2 if you can help it.

B3 splits the space into two large halls, used for banquets and other large gatherings. B3 is the least-often used floor, and it gets rather boring down this way.

In B4, the space is filled with sewage water, as B4 connects directly to the Castelia sewers and once used the waterways to transport booze during Prohibition. Despite what I've said about B2, B4 is the worst place to be- It stinks something fierce thanks to all the sewage, and you never know if what you've just pricked yourself on is toxic or not...

The other two spaces are reserved for auxiliary offices on all levels (northeast) and supply storage (northwest). Elevators and stairs are marked E and S respectively, and the west-most elevator is used as a direct line to the restaurant, which only Archer and Ariana have access keys to use.
