HG/SS had following Pokémon only because they wanted to celebrate Yellow's 10th anniversary while remaking Gold and Silver.

It will never come back, except if in 2019 they want to celebrate Yellow's 20th anniversary in the same way.

Yellow came out on September 12, 1998
HG/SS came out on September 12, 2009

That's 11 years, not 10. Also Emerald came out in Japan in 2004 while OR/AS came out in 2014, so going by that logic we should have had the Battle Frontier to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Emerald :^)

Some of the models have been around for a while, since at least the first Pokepark. THEN the fifth gen got their own models in Pokedex 3D, which were recycled in the second Pokepark. 3D Pro then filled in the rest, which were used in everything since then.

Except SPMD does not use the XY models. XY models are very high quality and you can clearly see that the SPMD models are not nearly as good looking, model wise.
If SPMD actually used the xy models the game would lag a fuckton, seeing as each pokemon is composed of a VERY high polycount for a 3ds game (xerneas is around 15k, which is insane).

Also, model =/= texture. get this shit right.

We're not even talking about the same companies here. Besides, those were ripe for being treated like an app game. This is different. This isn't even nearly as mindless as that other junk was. We shall see, though. If I'm wrong, then it IS time to worry, since then evidently nothing is sacred to them and the main series will be next. I think it's too soon to say. For the most part (at least Gens 1 to 5) the game is using the same models Creatures Inc. has been using for Pokedex 3D (Pro) and Pokepark Wii.
We haven't seen all the Kalos 'mon yet so they may have remodeled them, or at least altered them somewhat which wouldn't be surprising. Compared to Pokedex 3D and Pokepark, the models in Gates to Infinity looked lower in their poly count to account for how many polys would be displayed on the 3DS at once. I highly doubt they'd just copy and paste the XY models into the engine since that would fuck up the 3DSs performance.

I don't understand "starter pandering." Would you rather they exclude some of the starters?

Do we know anything about legendaries besides fug and Deoxys? And I remember other games having a lot of Legendaries too, Explorers to my memory had Moltres, Dialga, Palkia, Cresselia, the Regis, Darkrai, and Manaphy, didn't it?

And it will probably have shovelware DLC like Gates but not actual microtransactions.

I don't even know what this means. I like the odd choice like Cubone or Munchlax too, but I wouldn't force someone to use that instead of a starter if they wanted a starter. That's like saying every main game in the series ever panders to people who use starters since "they force you to use one."
