I loved them at the time but I haven't played them recently. From what I heard, they're too slow.
Also, you can't get a lot of the new mons in just DP which really sucked. Platinum made this better.
Otherwise, they're great in my book

Though there being a whole gym for the lack of ice and an E4 member for the lack of fire was pretty fucking stupid.

Not to mention the dearth of Electric types when there was an Electric gym, and a Fire-type E4 that used "hot" Pokemon instead of full Fire. Same problem Gen 2 had, really.

Pokemon suffers from Microsoft syndrome. Every other product they make will suck absolute balls (95 -> 98 -> ME -> XP -> Vista -> 7 -> 8 -> 10). Every other Gen of Pokemon will blow dick.

Are you blind or something. X/Y have the best mon variety of any game to date. Nearly every route has a totally unique set of pokemon found on it.

Lopunny/Steelix/Drifblim being 'fire types' in gen 4 was hilarious though.
