HOWEVER
Ghost and Fighting form perfect neutral coverage
Gengar gets Focus Blast to deal with Dark and normal.

Destiny Bond

Pro: Can take someone with you to Hell
Con: Need to be faster than whatever for it to work, and make sure you're going to die before using it

Curse
Pro: Works perfectly with Mean Look
Con: Very impractical otherwise, as the opponent would just switch out, leaving you defenseless and lacking health, Unless MeGar's involved, then you just can't recover.

Shadow Ball, it will almost always hit harder because Gengar has a good special attack stat.

Night Shade/SToss is always outclassed except on very weak mons like Chansey or Dusclops.
