Bring 6, use 3 is not a bad system. You see it as arbitrary but it helps speed the game along. Could you imagine playing the Maison with 6 mons EVERY SINGLE TIME. It would become dull as shit in virtually no time at all.

Also this places more responsibility on the player to have a more well-rounded team of mons. Having Sneaky Pebbles isn't mandatory and that is a good thing.

The cap is dumb on wifi but Battle Facilities have you fight 7 trainers in a row for each round. I can see why they wouldn't want player to do 6v6 battles, especially when you have to uphold a streak.

get over it, 6v6 was never intended to be played competitively, as newer gens have shown it's fundamentally flawed
