I just had this discussion with a friend where he says that migrating all your Pokémon/bros to the newer generations is pointless and stupid. What does /vp/ think?

Second, injection (as a service) exists. It's pointless to transfer your 'bro' considering that you could make the same 'bro' only cutting needless hours spent on transferring.

Even if that's not accessible, there's a smidgen of people left to pokegen from gen 5. That being said, injection is more widespread.

Even if you think "NO, ES ILLEGAL!", they CAN give you the crap IVs just like your 'bro' has, not to mention all those ribbons from contests and shit.

My point is that it's impractical. Call me a sociopath, but goddamn, it is just a pokemon.

What if you already bred perfect ones? Plus it's easy to use your old ones to breed newer sets.

Example: in ORAS I used my the following perfects from XY to breed newer sets:

-Stallscor -> SpD Gliscor
-CB Talonflame -> SpD Talonflame
-BD Azumarill -> AV Azumarill
-Special Greninja -> Mixed

Maybe more. But that's off the top of my head.
