I'm currently going through and beating my Pokemon Emerald game. (I've had it, but never bothered to beat it. I just beat the flying gym)

I plan on getting ORAS, when I have some money, but I've heard a lot of negative things about it. So now it's time for you all to do what you do best. Tell me, with legitimate complaints, why ORAS sucks.

I just got done with it and really enjoyed it. I was never a big Battle Frontier fan, though.

It's very easy. I rotated through 7-8 mons, and my final party still ended up 10+ levels above the E4 mons.

I didn't grind AT ALL during the story. The new exp share is too broken. Unfortunately, this problem isn't isolated to ORAS, since XY have the same exp share.

Otherwise, I enjoyed the game.

I managed to find the spare cash to get ORAS after skipping XY. (I was against gen 6 completely for a long time). Worst decision I've made Pokemon related. Should have avoided the money grab. I regret not getting XY

If you haven't played XY, you might enjoy it. The biggest problem I had was that it cut out loads of features not just from Emerald, but from XY as well. It was as if they literally just ported RS Hoenn to the XY engine, added two sidequests, then called it a new game.

The problem I have with that post though, is that we weren't expecting just a RS remake, HGSS set the standard of including 3rd version shit so it doesnt make sense why they would suddenly backpedel and shit all over Emerald

Oh I thought you already knew most of the things of the game. No matter. The Battle Frontier is an end-game feature in Emerald (not in OR/AS) with seven facilities where you can get Frontier Symbols. It sort-of tries to emulate real competitive battles; you can't switch when you defeated a Pokémon, everyone is level 100, CPU movesets are more tactically designed etc. It's very challenging.

Unsure why, likely because of time shortage. There is a miniature version of it to be found with some text "coming soon" or something like that.

It's pretty fun yes, but it's testing not only your skill but also your patience. Expect to rage at least 100 times at Double Team users. I also recommend to specially EV-train 3 to 6 Pokémon, you're going to need the extra power.
