I haven't been on /vp/ for quite a while, did anyone ever confirm whether or not DexNav chaining was a myth?

I would post this in /shw/ but it's not up right now, and I don't have all the OP stuff copied so I'll let someone else start it.

Also, general recap of what's happened here since ORAS was released.

Nah, DexNav chaining is legit. It peaks at 40 or so though, and is really difficult to do at that point.

Heard at one point that the shiny charm doesn't stack with masuda method in ORAS, then stopped playing for a few months. Any developments on that front?

I don't know so much about actually chaining, but I know having a high encounter number on the DexNav means something.

Proof: I have not chained intentionally for Audinos and I've gotten 4 shiny ones, and most of those were right after or near after my "Chain" broke

It has in every past game and hadn't heard anything about it changing, plus the charm just changes the base number modifier, so I can't imagine that's true.

This DexNav shit looks like basically free shinies? Wtf? At least chaining required some attention in Gen IV, and if Gamefreak hadn't fucked it up in X and Y it would have been fine.
