I listen to people depending on the message. Whether or not it is worth listening to. I tend to ignore someone if they talk about shit I don't care about.
Other factors then come into play such as status and goal. What is their status. Are they a veteran member of an elite organization or a honed veteran who has spent years on his craft? How much experience does a person have? This is important as it adds to credibility.
Next is what they have to gain from giving me this info. That is not important in this case as it is just advice.
Most importantly I have to consider how this affects me.
With that said. I have to relate to Karen's message more. You can win with your favorites. You have to develop your own style. Your own strategy. Your own team. What makes a good team is hood support from its members and not whether or not the individual pokemon is weak or strong. You have a team and you work together for a common goal. That is what makes a team strong.
The gentleman's message is more like support to Karen. You have to be prepared to name sacrifices in a team. You can't have all your favorites in one team. It wouldn't be efficient. You may have gaps in your team if you only use a mon like ledian. You have to be open minded and diversify your team. You can still have favorites but no one wants to lose all the time. You have to be strong enough to makes tough decisions as you are the leader.
That is what I feel.
