I want to get a new game but I can't decide between ORAS or X/Y
On one hand I've seen x and Y get great reviews but on the other hand i've only played up to generation 3, no diamond no black and white my last game was regular sapphire for gameboy.
Suggestions?

I had a lot of fun with Y but it does definitely suffer from newer Pokemon game syndrome. That being said if you can make it past the first few gyms the gameplay really picks up.

ORAS were very good but nostalgia heavy for me. Since you last played sapphire I'd suggest moving away from that and trying a new story.

get ORAS. post-game is cool too. and at this point, now's about time they announce the third version/director's cut or sequel of XY.

maybe you can rent XY and trade your bros to oras before you return it.

X/Y are new games with tons of Pokemon from 1st to 6th generation available before E4. The region itself is pretty cool as well. OR/AS are nice remakes of R/S however they do not introduce many new things.
I recommend X/Y. New experience > Remakes.

Bear in mind that new games may be announced soon though.

If you don't know many (or any) of the newer Pokemon, then 100% get X/Y, its regional Pokedex is massive and diverse. ORAS is best if you want the most up to date game for online battling.
