There are a lot that look significantly worse in RB. Mewtwo looks appalling in RB. Looking at the Green sprites, it's interesting how many of these are directly based on Sugimori art that ended up on trading cards.

The sprites from Western Red and Blue are the same ones from Japanese Blue since the former used the latter's engine.
