I almost wouldn't mind this, but only if they did this mistake "right".
-ate abilities effectively give the user another STAB at the cost of Normal moves, but they're generally not great anyway unless on Normal types.
An idea I've had since -ate abilities were known was an Electric/Steel freezer/aircon pokemon with either Refrigerate or Aerilate as its two possible abilities.

Fix those two because no pokemon with a double weakness should be immune to that. Even if it means making some ground moves not be grounded
