Togekiss is utterly reliant on fucking ancient power and ominous wind boosts to get said boosts, and even then a 120 bp non-stab psychic move isn't really broken in any capacity. If you got extremely lucky and got multiple ominous wind variant boosts extremely early sure, but that's literally a 1% or less chance.

Offensive Scolipede is great and doesn't need Baton Pass. That being said, banning BP as a whole has too much collateral damage.

Ban Geomancy imo, it is uncompetitive/broken on 100% of mons that get it (in OU at least) and has no collateral damage.

Baton pass usually beats stall, offence and balance unless you're carrying a check such as perish song specifically for baton pass. In fact stall has probably the best match up against baton pass out of the three because of their access to niche status moves like perish song and clear smog. If anything this would benefit offence.

You keep saying that, but I think that is a little over the top. Many Pokemon would suffer from losing that move, Pokemon that by no means are uncompetitive, like Espeon or Togekiss. I think banning BP+Speed Boost, or maybe BP+Any Speed would be good enough, and without being too complex. Remember the Drizzle+Swift Swim ban in Gen 5.

Literally the only pokemon that suffers is dry passing espeon to escape Ttar, and that's not truly relevant enough to matter. If that really is significant enough to you to be seen as collateral then they could do a no baton pass + boosting move clause.

I was already cold toward the Max 3 BP users per team and against Max 1but now deleting a whole playstyle and stategy out of nowhere goes behind any logic.
And using some random tour single battle as a reason and proof itself sounds more like a salty reaction to a loss or something.

Smogon has reached the final stage of cancer and is finally approaching to its end in terms of relevance even if this already happened during the BW and BW2 shift.

Right now at best Geomancy ban would be the best option but then the BP users limit oer team should be 2 or 3 again.

Gen 6 (and 5 to an extent) brought with it a bunch of incredibly powerful pokemon that are able to bust through many other things and they all get banned. Now there's nothing left that's strong enough to bust through walls.
Pokemon teams are like rock paper scissors and smogon is playing scissors and banning everything that's rock.

Seeing some misconceptions about the battle.
The only way for blunder to win that game was to win every 5050 imaginable. Whenever WQ went into scolopede, blunder needed to go to Skarmory on that turn or he essentially lost the game. There was no reason to go to Skarmory on scolopede because espeon could just come in and win with the speed. Excadrill needed to break the sub so that it could toxic the espeon that's why blunder looked like he was iron heading like a maroon.
This doesn't change the fact that blunder is fucking stupid for bringing the team that he did to OST finals

Smogon is really going to shit these days, and this is coming from a long-time poster with a few badges and 4k posts since late 2007

Baton pass is far from uncompetitive, as there are so many ways to deal with it (whirlwind/roar, clear smog, haze, taunt, perish song etc). It might be effective against your cookie cutter balance teams which seldom prepare for it, but it's far from imposisble to counter.

For example, did you know that perish timers are passed? I use bulky perish song gengar on one of my higher elo OU teams as a wincon (will post set if curious), just bring it in whenever scolipede comes in and the most it can hope to pass is a single speed boost, if it passes immediately out, and even then the recipient gets the timer, even Espeon as perish song is a field effect

It's A GOD DAMN FUCKING RPG SOME THINGS ARE MEANT TO BE MORE POWERFUL THAN OTHERS

It's not uncompetitive you're just fucking shit at teambuilding outside your comfort zone REEEEEEEEEEEEE

the vast majority of players are probably 1200-1500, as of right now ou only has 252 alts at 1600 or higher

(that, and higher level players are actually mart enough to deal with what is a relatively easy strategy to counter)
