>>24514433>who can you play as the new one?Every starter plus riolu.
>what are the differences between them?>BRTProbably the most difficult gameplay wise, especially with post game dungeons. Includes a few important differences from EoS, which is considered the best by most people. You are restricted from shops for some sections of the story, meaning you can't resupply and are stuck leveling up on your own. IQ groups don't exist. Healing party members is risky because you have to throw items at them and they may dodge them. After the main story, you have to recruit a number of legendaries which may not even appear until certain conditions are met. Even then they tend to have low recruit rates. You can use some items however to cheese the game here more than in other versions.
>EoSThe gold standard. Adds IQ groups and new traps to the mix. Adds an actual plot and characters, which is pretty weak but still very charming. Certain post game dungeons are still very difficult. Includes special episodes which expand the universe.
>GtIWeaker gameplay wise compared to the other games, and reviled by many people here. Hunger and IQ groups are gone and replaced with team attacks and abilities. Few Pokemon. All items can be used in boss battles. Introduces XP share. Dungeons now have complex floor layouts but fewer floors. Adds some gameplay changes such as mysteriosity, upgradeable attacks, evolving enemies under certain conditions, stronger pokemon hidden in treasure rooms. Weather is far more deadly in this game though. Might be worth a playthrough if you like the story of the previous games for sure, I know I was still satisfied by it.
>SMDNot sure haven't played it yet.
Other versions kind of aren't worth your time as the other anon said.
