Problem with Volcarona is that because of its ridiculous high stats and movepool anything you give it will break it. Might as well give it a lot so that it'll be a while until power creep catches up to it. There is nothing wrong with having a broken mega anon.

There has to be broken pokemon dude. That's the way the the world works. The only way to not break volcarona is to not give it a mega, and we know that's not going to happen. Abominations like mom and mence aren't bad anyway since you don't have to play against them and in the metas you do they're not comepletely overpowering.

Klingklang with a second typing some kind of -iate ability so it can make use of that terrible lack of movepool. At least it can run -iate Return. The same goes for a ton of Unova Pokemon actually. Lilligant would fucking love this. So would all the Monkeys. Eelektrik too. Heatmor probably. I'd much rather this than the standard "oh and it gets all the fixes to its movepool that didn't require a mega"

Cinccino just needs a bit of a boost to be really good.

Escavalier just needs something but I really don't know what. If it just got Earthquake and Superpower it would be good without a mega like my first point, but I think a mega would really help on something or other.

The thing about Megas is they made people forget about the concept of cross gen evolutions.

A lot of what people in this thread are asking for, Sawsbuck, Zebstrika, Basculin, Heatmor, Maractus would benefit more from a normal Evolution.

Megas were designed to make the already strong, stronger. Sure not every mon who received a mega was originally a monster. But none of them were shitters.

But this is just the opinion of someone that thinks the power gap between all pokemon should be a little more even. So there's more variety to choose the ones you like.

It's hard to say what "deserves" a Mega and what "deserves" a cross gen evolution.

Ideally, I'd be something like this: If their final evolution looks "complete" then give em a Mega. Like Pidgeot. If their final evolution looks "incomplete" then give it a cross gen evo. Like Roselia.

I understand this is EXTREMELY subjective.

Zoroark and Hydreigon are some of my most rooted for. Edgy, I know.
I think Zoroark has some pretty damn cool potential for a mega, so long as it ditches it's Illusion ability. That way you'd get a bit more mileage out of Illusion.

Hydreigons an easy one to improve base stat wise. Pretty much anything they do, so long as they add to it's speed will make it great. Also fuck that Steel/Dragon shit.

As for a third, I'd say Gigalith, with shifting nearly all of it's Atk into it's SpAtk.

The design was based off of a Southern Belle, which tend to carry parasols to shade them from the sun. That's where the leaf umbrella comes from, I'm pretty sure.
