Maybe since GF loves hax, they can add an RNG when matchmaking too. Then you wont be completely tied to it, the rank would just kind of skew you.
Honestly, if you do a whole lot more, it stops becoming wondertrade and then just becomes 'trade', at which point you really just need some kind of other system to help find random trades (Passerby system a shit). Something like a casual GTS bulletin board since GTS is also shit. Just random messages pop up saying "have 5IV Honedge want egg moves anything" and then you can choose to start an interaction with them.
Nintendo needs to seriously stop helicopter parenting online interactions though. Fix it right at the root. Let you SEND A FUCKING MESSAGE TO SOMEONE. They already have an insane censorship system, just let us tell an acquaintence who we just met on. WT "hey got anymore?" or some passerby "u want this m8?" instead of having to go into a trade, wait for them to accept or reject, and then STILL not being able to message them.
