Ooooh nononono, sure adult concepts like the idea of confronting the fact that pokemon is glorified dog fighting are on the table. But by adult I mean a game geared to be challenging for adults, with less hand holding and whatnot.

I guess adult main game? Doesn't even have to be adult, like using a recent game as an example, Undertale has some far more mature themes going on but it's still generally silly and fun.
Just give me a challenge with a more fleshed out world (as big as the regions are they still feel empty and lifeless) and ill be satisfied.
Also Pokken is probably gonna be shit, itll be cool to play as pokemon in a more action oriented game but as far as taking it serious for competitive play... id love to be proven wrong but i dont have very high hopes

Would only work if it had no online store. And no multiplayer outside of PvP because this is a roguelike.

Otherwise it would be a sad mockery of the genre as a whole.
