Sadly I never managed to beat it as a kid despite dumping probably hundreds of hours into it. The farthest I went was the second round of the final tournament with my Phoenix, which frustratingly enough died shortly before the third part.
>Dragon Quests Monsters Joker 1&2Pretty bland as far as the gameplay goes, but I still enjoyed them. The sequel was especially fun with the giant monsters (had an oversized hydra in the postgame that managed to obliterate absolutely everything in it's path) and hidden bosses from the first game. Fuck Squeenix for not localising the 3DS games tho.
>Digimon Rumble Arena 1 and 2Not a mon collecting game, but I'll still mention it being a Pokemon's former rival and all. Very fun smash clone with Digimons, sadly not much to do if you don't have anyone to play with.
>Jade CocoonFucking awesome for it's time. Surprisingly nice plot, combining monsters was the shit. I also liked that the main character could fight alongside his monsters.
>Telefang Only played it on my friend's Gameboy who had it on a bootleg cart under the name "Pokemon Jade and Crystal". Generally I liked what I saw, though I found calling monsters with your cellphone a ridiculous concept back then. I also remember his game ending abruptly after the first town. What a shit hack lol
