OP, listen up.
ORAS really broke my spirit regarding Pokemon. I tried playing a second run of XY after I gave up on ORAS mid-way, but that only made me realize how barren and boring XY is. I ended up (effortlessly) beating ORAS eventually, but after that I didn't touch Pokemon for a long time. Didn't give a rat's fuck.
However, for the past month or two, I've done nothing but play the fucking fuck out of Pokemon while I wait for what could be the last Pokemon game I ever buy (because Shitfreak is really gonna have to bust a move to make Gen VI worthwhile).
What I began with is a White run. Getting the entire Unova dex. Now I'm backtracking through every region V-III getting a living dex in anticipation of "Z" and I'm having a blast. I finished White a month ago and am about to finish Soul Silver now, gonna do Platinum next.
Semi-related, I gotta say, Gen IV might end up being my least favorite Gen besides VI, it is slow as fucking ass. Grinding for BP in the Frontier is a fucking boring nightmare, but it could just be Soul Silver and maybe Platinum is better? I digress.
Anyway, Pokemon hasn't left you, OP. Even if you're not hype with it right now and have no desire to play, it will come back. I go through phases with all the shit I like. Right now it's Pokemon season. But when it's over, Yu-Gi-Oh! season will come back. Then Smash season, then back to Pokemon. I usually alternate between those because there's no other games I like. There used to be a DBZ season, but I haven't spent more than 10-15 hours on a DBZ game since Budokai 3 and have pretty much given up, especially with RoF and Super being so shit.
tl;dr it will come back to you, if not just the games you know and love if the series does continue with this nosedive of smartphone shit i.e. Gen VI
All that being said, I live a lonely and empty existence and have nothing to live for. Maybe you could use this lapse in interest to make something of yourself. Good luck, OP, you worthless faggot.
