Glaceon is an Ice type though.
Flareon has every reason to at least be slightly decent but just isn't.

Flareon has Superpower and recently gained Flare Blitz. It also has a useable Special Attack stat for Fire Blast.

Glaceon has shit HP, shit Speed, and being Ice means that it can't switch in on anything.

Yes, Flareon is better. However as you just mentioned it continues to get new moves and have some decent stats but just sucks regardless of what toys it is given.
