Anyone else playing through this? Installing with hans is surprisingly easy and I don't have to delete my updates from the game.

No games work on Citra yet. But this works with 3DS Homebrew so if you have a real copy of OR/AS you can play it on your console.

I might, but I haven't seen much info on how ROM hacks work with Hans. Does it replace anything in my cartridge? What happens if I save the game in the hack, and then try to play the original game? Will it corrupt the save?

The save file is shared and will not be corrupted. If you want to do a fresh start of the ROMhack, a homebrew app for backing up your save file is included in the download. Back up, delete, start a new one, play romhack, Bank pokemon, restore original ORAS save.

Sort of. Hans tells the 3DS to load the file system from an external file instead of your cartridge/eshop install. It's more like Project M if you know what that is.

Balances the game around the EXP share, resulting in challenging battles without throwing unfairly overleveled opponents at you. Makes competitive items more easily accessible and gives you access to the post-game encounters before beating Primal Kyogre/Groudon. Puts more Double/Triple/Horde Trainer battles into the world.
Basically, you know how /vp/ whines that the games are too easy? This hack is Challenge Mode. Boss fights actually FEEL like it in RR/SS.

Themehax isn't patched, but Ninjhax, OoThax, and SmashHax are the only entry points usable now if you don't still have Ironhax from when that was available. SmashHax can be done with the free demo for Smash 3DS, but you need to do some... shenanigans. The good news is that if you suffer through SmashHax once, you can use it to install themehax.

if you're too stupid to follow the instructions in the OP, you're probably too stupid to have already installed 3DS homebrew, and maybe even stupid enough to be on version 10.2 without homebrew installed.
If you already have the Homebrew Launcher installed on your 3DS, this shouldn't be too hard to install.

No just run Ironhax and Homebrew channel normally then use the Ironhax installer. Install to slot 2, then when that's done replace the folder on your SD with the new updated one.

Yeah, just use Ironhax to boot HBL, then run the Ironhax Installer and put it in a different save than your existing ironhax
then replace your SD files with the new starter pack

got the romfs and exefs binaries via braindump and used pack hack's romfs extractor to get a romfs_ folder and stuck in the folder next to the binaries.
Other than that though I've got no fucking clue what to do next.

okay, there's your problem. First of all, copy the ROM hack distribution pack's romFS folder over the romfs folder you made with the extractor (rename your "romfs_" to "romfs" before doing that). Then use the romfs BUILDER to make a new romfs.bin file using that romfs folder. Once you have that, open it in a hex editor and delete the bytes up to pic related and rename the bin file "rruby.romfs". NOT RRUBY.BIN. then put THAT next to rruby.code on your 3ds SD card.

No. After generating the romfs_ folder, rename it to romfs, then merge the romfs folder from the distribution zip into the PackHack folder, letting it overwrite.
Then rebuild it, do the hex edit thing, then save it as
ssapphire.romfs OR rruby.romfs depending on what version you have. Don't name it the game's ID.
Then copy the contents of the HansPack folder in the distribution folder to the root of the SD.
Then put the ssapphire.romfs / rruby.romfs in the hans folder on the root of the SD. Should be next to a file called ssapphire.code or rruby.code.

Yes. Download the starter pack from smea's twitter, copy all the files to the SD card (it it asks you to replace files, just say yes), and then run the ironhax installer. Also, if you're wondering what version of ironfall you have, check the data management tab in system settings. If there's any Ironfall in the add-on content section, you're on 1.1

I'm too scared to try again and losing access to homebrew without buying shit games. Not even restoring my old files to the SD card fixed themehax when I tried to update and it didn't work.
