Pick both. Pokémon as we know is dying, whether you like it or not. A new era has already begun of p2p mobile games, and it'll only get worse. Kalos third version/prequels/sequels is going to be the last game on console.

Keep dreaming. For years Nintendo has been making an extra effort to ignore the fans, and have stayed out of touch with anything we want. All their games are rehashes of old success, they can't inovate at all.

The moment they decide to try something new, it's to turn to mobile games, as a way to spend less resources and make more profit with shitty, bad developed games.

Nintendo's owned enough of Pokemon for GF to be tied to their hip forever as a Pokemon machine.

This dates back to GSC getting compressed, though there were a couple games after that weren't Pokemon they don't do a hell of a lot else.

Gamefreak's preparing for Nintendo to kick them to the curve.

That's why Gamefreak rekindled their relationship with Sega, buying other companies and making more IPs. They're preparing.

Can't wait for a competent dev to be in charge of the mainline Pokemon franchise.
