Hey was wondering if you can go underground in platinum on desmume's most current version. Last time i emulated this years ago it wouldn't let me go underground because of the forced wifi.

The Underground doesn't use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, it uses local wireless and you can go underground without being connected anyway.

If you need Nintendo WFC-like stuff, use altwfc.net

DeSmuME doesn't emulate Wi-Fi anyhow.

You can. Disable "Use dynamic recomplier" under the emulation settings whenever you want to go underground.

I remember long ago I played Platinum on No$Gba and I could go on the Underground just fine. Not sure why it fails on Desmume.

Speaking of emulators; I have White 2 and a 2Ds, but I want Challenge Mode to be unlocked. Can I use an emulator with Black 2 to send the key via wireless to my DS?

It could be a variety of things. But DeSmuME works fine with the Underground in Platinum for me, even with the dynamic recompiler enabled.

Might as well use the AR code to unlock the Key System after dumping your save file. DeSmuME doesn't support Wi-Fi (which they feel the need to point out on their website: http://desmume.org/)

I'm asking because despite Nintendo shutting down WFC, before that I used the Desmume version with Wifi and it worked just fine. I basically played the whole Gen V online with Desmume. At least for what I know, Wireless it's not linked with the WFC, so I could use an emulator to transfer the keys, but I got nothing when I tried few days ago.

DeSmuME with Wi-Fi is a 3rd-party mod iirc and not part of the "official" emulator.

Nintendo WFC was shut down but there's altwfc.net

Your best bet would be to use a DS flashcart with savegame-manager to back up the save file to the PC from the DS via Wi-Fi (WEP is required) so that you could edit it. Then it's up to you to just play it on the flashcart with a ROM or send the edited save file back to the retail cart.
