probably platinum or hg/ss for the postgame content. i never really used it because breeding and shit is very tedious to do well in the frontier, but if i had to play it for the rest of my life i'd just go for it.

i still dearly love gen 6 though.

Currently working on a FireRed ROM hack for personal use that will give me access to every Pokemon from Gens 1&2 without trading, plus add things like unlimited TM usage, Gen 3 items not included in FireRed, possibly the physical/special split... Just basically a definitive version of that game.

Taking any extra text for events directly from other versions (Emerald, HGSS, for example) as to avoid fanwank.

So, if that counts, then that for sure.

I find myself returning to the original gold quite a lot. Love me that nostalgic feel.
But i've played through enough times that i had to play it on emulators just to inject unique teams.

Emerald because i've never gotten all gold symbols at the frontier. Only all silver.
Should be fun grinding for years to finally get them all.
