>>24552073>missing the point this fucking hardBoth of the posts I quoted blamed the localization team for naming a bagworm Pokémon after a pinecone because it resembles one, which implies that Pineco's design has nothing to do with pinecones and the resemblance is a coincidence. I actually acknowledged the fact that it was a bagworm (hence why I said "knows Pineco is a bagworm" and not "thinks Pineco is a bagworm) and if you didn't have the reading comprehension skills of a toddler with Down syndrome you might have noticed that.
The "Bulbapedo trivia section" thing was referring to people reading about a Pokémon being based on something they're not familiar with online and then repeating it without context whenever someone claims it's something else. In this case saying Pineco has nothing to do with pinecones because they read somewhere that it's actually a bagworm. But if they knew what bagworms are they would know that Pineco is a bagworm INSIDE a pinecone and that the localization team didn't confuse one thing for another (the fact that it's still called the Bagworm Pokémon in English and not the Pinecone Pokémon proves that).
I admit Bulbapedo was a poor example since they do routinely make shit up (like Snubbull being based on the Cù Sìth) so I can understand why you might think I was claiming they were wrong about Pineco being based on a bagworm, but that's not what I was saying at all. I was saying that the people saying "it's not a pinecone you tard, it's a bagworm" only know the word "bagworm" from reading that Pineco was based on one (on sites like Bulbapedo) and don't realize that Pineco is based on both and that this actually makes sense in the context of real-life bagworms' behavior. You faggot.
