does it suck? no.

M-Beedril's only job is to be the late game sweeper, it's everyone else's job to remove the walls and tanks he can't blow up in one hit.

It's tough to establish that win condition cause your opponent knows you're trying to clear the way for Beedril to finish him off, but once you have it, there's little that can be done to stop it.

Beedril still has to watch out for priority though, bullet punch and shadow sneak will rip him apart.

He only sucks because he removes your mega slot. If he was a non-mega pokemon, you'd probably see a lot more of him. There's just no reason to use him over the other megas unless you're running some gimmicky team.

No, it literally has the strongest U-turn in the game. It just needs teammates keeping Stealth Rocks and fat Ground types and bay.

It's arguably the best Mega in UU, rivaled only by Aero and maybe Swampert.

Mega Beedrill sucks because everyone knows it's going to lead off with Protect, which gives them a free turn to set up, switch, using a recovery move, etc.

I'm just going to say it, I wish mega evolutions were permanent.

Of course they'd have to nerf the stats and abilities, but I love the design of a lot of these guys. The tedious animation for evolving them, and that they're in-battle only kinda hurts the appeal.

You forgot Steelix. No reason to use it over Aggron unless your into Sand teams(which further hurts it's viability as its reliant on a playstyle to even have a niche. And Garchomp outclasses as a wallbreaker and is also usable outside of Sand. Would probably get banned tho)

Taking Beedril to OU is a fools errand, Talonflame's there and there's just better choices to put your mega slot towards at that point, like Metagross, Zard-X, etc.

Of course it is, idiot. It's basically Rain Dance + 3 moves. Like Agility + 3 moves Mega Ampharos, except, you know, better coverage, stronger and all around better STAB options.

STAB EQ isn't worth the extra weaknesses, lack of Filter, worser physical movepool etc. Aggron will have less 4MSS as one of it's moveslots isn't taken by a secondary STAB

That's the problem with megas. Already-OU beasts get about the same boost as things like ampharos and beedrill. Sure, beedrill got more minmaxing, but at the end of the day it's still +100 BST across the board.

Megas can't actually balance shitmons when they have to compete with the megas of already good pokemon.
