We all know that you can release your pokemon via your computer, but how do you think they handle it once you release your pokemon? Did they hire someone to drop that pokemon off somewhere or what else could happen?

The Pokémon Storage System either knows its original habitat or it sends it to the Pokémon Center's internal care services.

The location where you caught is saved, that's easy. So it's a matter of how/if they get back there.

I doubt someone is going around dropping off Pokémon in the area where they were originally captured, too much work. There's gotta be a shelter or adoption center that takes them in after PC release.

Or go the edgy route. Team Rocket buys them/are actually in control of the PC system and "steal" them.
