There was a case of doing this because Dark is a type already, for some reason they didn't used it in TCG

Hell, they were less special because they weren't version exclusive.

We've had Dark Pokemon since, what, gen 2 of the TCG? Shadow Pokemon have been around since Gen 3 with Pokemon Colosseum. And the comics have done far more retarded shit since the word go.
