So I'm trying to breed in gen 3 and I realized I have not fucking clue what I'm doing so can someone help me out I've got the egg move's and stuff but how do i breed for shiny, iv's etc. etc.
Also if by chance I hatch a shiny will I know when it is hatched or do I have to view the summary?

You might as well slap your nuts and/or labia and call me daddy, breeding in gen 3 isn't casualized and IIRC there's no way to guarantee more than 2-3 IV's so have fun

I'm almost certain that you don't have to view the summary. You'll see it if it's shiny. Shows you right after the egg hatches.

The only way to control ANY aspect of breeding in gen 3 is in Emerald, and that's only by making one of the parents hold an Everstone, giving the eggs a 50% chance to have the same nature as that parent.

That's it. that's all you can do in gen 3. Have fun.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. The Everstone has to be held by the female or a Ditto. It won't work otherwise.

Just backup your save with a DS flashcart and inject whatever shiny you want.
