My teacher used to assign picross puzzles to us in third grade.
They werent CALLED picross but they were the exact same thing, and if you didn't finish them by recess you had to send recess in in-school-suspension and if you got ISS you got a call home to your parents telling them that you "weren't doing your work" which got you grounded at home.
It was a stupid fucking way of dealing with well behaved students who were trying hard but having difficulty with the material and the notion that Picross is supposed to be "fun" in any way and something people would actually pay for is a fucking joke to me.
