Both rely on coverage, Nidoking can bust almost everything that's slower than him and Nidoqueen is not that slow and yet is bulky enough to withstand attacks.
Nidoqueen is more used in Bulky Offense per se and Nidoking sees more use in teams that have enough Speed control. Learn your things straight. Nidoking is not fast enough, yet he's not that slow nor bulky either, is a middle man with god-like coverage and the tools to use it.
Nidoqueen on the other hand, is more of a pivot thanks to her typing and the inmediate threat that is able to push.
