I think RBY are just archaic games. Their graphics and gameplay are either too simply or too rough. Because of that, they are less enjoyable to play for many people.

Some mechanics are fun in-game and I like them (e.g. Special being one stat). On the other hands, some mechanics can go fuck themselves (e.g. sleep and wrap).

But hey, Gen 1 still has better spin-offs than gen 6 (excluding PSMD).

i didn't like the art direction. Original Red has a better feel to it and so did it's sequel. desu GBA games ruined the franchise.

Gen I is different enough to be its own game imo.

>Special 1 stat, making Pokemon like Hypno awesome
>Speed = Crits
>Hyper Beam actually good
>Pokemon Stadium compatibility
>dem sprites
>Yellow version
>High Crit moves (almost) always crit

To be perfectly fucking honest, these are the only things I'd even think about changing:

>more Physical-type Attacks
>better move distribution
>backsprites
>make Blue harder (each one of his guys you OHKO with their debilitating 4x weaknesses)
>Focus Energy glitch
>Swords Dance crit glitch
>add Oak postgame battle

and all that shit is really fucking minor, still among the best Pokemon games to date

Get fucking gud. With Fire Spid Rapidash was actually usable. Only 70 ACC anyway. I actually forgot to add that to positive features. Or at the least neutral features.
