Well, this is it. The 3DS is the ultimate official Pokémon machine so far.

Through its catalog, remakes, retrocompatibility and Virtual Console, you can play in every one of the 6 regions. (And it's perfectly possible for G/S/C to come in the future aswell).

Pretty neat in my opinion.

I know you're a troll but I pirated Drastic, and even if I didn't it would be totally worth it. My laptop struggles with emulating gen 5 properly but my mid end phone (Galaxy Core Prime) plays everything perfectly. And yes I can randomize, I can also make trade evolutions normal stone or level based, and get hacks that make every pokemon available or makes the games harder. There are even filters and effects that make it arguably look better than on a DS. Stop living in 2005 or whatever year you come from.

The only negative is touchscreen controls.

That's the problem, the main series is shit, and GF doesn't care at all. XY/ORAS proved that well enough.

Wasn't literally ANY nintendo handheld the best pokemon machine for its time?
The gameboy color could play both gens released for it.
The GBA/SP could handle the gen released for it AND had backwards compatability with the GB.
The DS later got backwards compatability for the gba and sp.
3DS never got backwards compatability for anything past DS, but its ability to actually handle a light emilator fixes that.

So this exciting time isn't anything new.
