My friend has an Aerodactyl with max values. Basically every battle he attacks first and kills the other pokemon. Did I miss something or was it supposed to be this broken?

Yes, it's a tourney pokemon. But the fact is that it has too much SPD and an excelent ATK. His weakeness (defense) doesn't matter because he always act first.

Just use Scizor with bullet punch, any scarfed mon with a super effective attack, or literally any water type.

Far from broken.

If you run any remotely defensive Pokemon that doesn't have a weakness to Aerodactyl's commonly-used attacks, then you can give it a bit of trouble.

Your team's unbalanced, you probably have no defensive pokemon. It's something that happens if you only played single player alot. you end up with a ton of sweepers because of the warning before they switch and nothing that can take a hit since you never need to.

Aerodactyl is fast, speeds its best stat, so it's able to outspeed and kill your team of frail sweepers. Luckily, aerodactyl is just as frail. Go find a big bulky as fuck rock/steel/water type or something and stone edge the fuck outta him. He'll die like a bitch.

Which Pokemon are you using? Aerodactyl has a hard time with lots of pokemon. Scizor and Azumarill can kill it out right with bullet Punch and Aqua jet respectively and it can't do much to hurt Skarmory and will be forced to retreat
