It realistically means the NX wont sale as it will be priced more than $300, more so than the PS4/One currently, and diehard Nintendo fans feel like the Wii U is ultimately useless to them, even though it will have been the average life cycle of a console.

By the time the NX drops down a respectable price to compete with the PS4/One the PS4/Two (or whatever the fuck it'll be called) will be out, out-perform the Wii U, and we'll be right back where we are this generation.

That's pretty much Nintendo's fate going forward unless they hold off on the NX to release it later, which I highly doubt.

Nintendo has always been behind as far as power is concerned, but I don't think they really care.
Main pokemon games will always be portable, if they made it on a home console it would be a slap in the face to the consumers. There is no way you can make a pokemon game with enough content to be worthy of a home console.
Will it sell? Yeah
Will it be any good? No, not at all
