So just how similar is Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon to the main series games?
There are a number of different mechanics in these games obviously but am wondering about certain aspects that I have not been able to find online.
Do the Pokemon have Natures? If so do they affect the Pokemon in any way? Are they set or can it be any of the 25 like in the main series games?
Can Pokemon be shiny? If so can your starting Pokemon be shiny? (I mainly want to know this so I can avoid it, not fond of shiny Pokemon).
Do Pokemon have genders in this game? If so are they set? Is there anyway to affect the outcome such as soft resetting?
As far as I am aware the Pokemon can have abilities. However what ability is a Pokemon determined to have? I saw something that you can eventually change it on the fly back at the hub but can you select hidden abilities as well?
These things would help determine who I choose and how I play through the story, and the most recent (Gates to Infinity) is foggy with mechanics and some were even broken (see Flash Fire Chandelure) so I'm not sure if it would even be a decent reference.
