Tailglow Manaphy is shit

It doesnt have enough speed to abuse tailglow because it cant have both scarf and glow, and 2 different stat boosting moves would take too long. It would either get 2 shot before gets uses an attacking move, or it would get revenge killed
HP/Def CM/RDance/Scald/Rest is the best manaphy set

if you are playing against a slow team, CM is better. A built up CM may take longer than a built up Tail Glow, but with the different training it can tank that long and be pretty hard to revenge kill with anything shy of a crit

that's why its primary role is to be the late-game sweeper. Get the faster stuff out of the way, send in manaphy, click tail glow, and win.

what makes manaphy scary is that it doesn't give you a turn to make a switch-in to handle it. Once it tail glows, if you don't have a faster pokemon left in your party, you lose.

There are better things for late game cleanup. There arent better non-mega tanks. It just never dies if you can get the time to set up.

You don't get 2-shot if you run Sitrus Berry. It gives you more HP, so you can run Ev's like 96 HP / 252 SpA / 160 Spe. That's enough to outspeed Jolly Bisharp's Knock Off and enough HP that you won't get killed by non-specs Latios Draco Meteor after the Sitrus Berry.
