There are lot of wrong headcanons about Zygarde going on /vp/ recently. I will try to settle this down using facts instead.
Zygarde 10% known as Zygarde Canine or Zygarde Dog is based on a Truffle Dog, truffle is very common in Germany, France, Italy and Spain and both dogs and pigs are used for its research.
Guess where the truffle grows and is found? Underground. Only special legendary animals can find it, therefore Dragon/Ground is the only fitting type for it and fits it very well.
I hope you are still hyped because Corocoro and Pokemon official sites haven't revealed all Zygarde forms yet. In fact it misses another form ranging from 11% to 99% and is clearly based on Dragon/Ground type Truffle Pig.
I'll try to sum up:
> Zygarde Cell & Zygarde Core: Truffle Pokemon
They are not animals or plants, just like truffles.
> Zygarde 10%: Truffle Dog
It is made of truffles, it searches for more truffles to become stronger.
> Zygarde 50%: French Forest Truffle Snake
Rare snake found nearby truffle spots and inside caves.
> Zygarde Perfect Form: Human Truffle Searcher
It does stand at the top of the truffle pyramid.
Has to mantain the balance in the ecosystem.
> Zygarde -% Missing Form: Truffle Pig
This obviously missing form still has to be revealed but it's clearly a stronger form than Zygarde 10%, pigs are bigger than dogs and therefore it is expected to be a physically oriented tank.
It is clear that Zygarde, Yveltal and Xerneas are based on French forest animals: the snake, the falcon and the deer. All have lot of folklore tales mentioning them in such contest. Even explain their types.
And in before some retard comes in here to shitpost about his Norse mythology please, refrain to do so unless you provide a serious support to your stupid headcanon. Especially because those territories are Christian and don't have any of those edgy influnced you have probably learned through Marvel's movies and manga.
You are just a contrarian if you don't believe this.
